バイアグラに用いられる代表的な薬
注射で投与されるインシュリン依存性バイアグラの薬物
バイアグラには、インシュリン依存性バイアグラ、インシュリン非依存性バイアグラの2つの型があります。それぞれ薬物治療は異なります。
インシュリン依存性バイアグラは、若い人や子供に多く、インシュリンを分泌する膵臓のランゲルハンス島β細胞が障害されているため、インシュリンがうまく分泌されません。そこでインシュリンを補う薬物・インシュリン製剤が使われます。
口から飲むと消化管で破壊されますので、注射で投与します。他のバイアグラ薬との併用で、低血糖を起こす可能性があります。
食事療法が基本となるインシュリン非依存性バイアグラ
インシュリン非依存性バイアグラは、肥満の成人によくあるタイプです。体の必要量に対してインシュリンの分泌や作用が十分でなく、相対的に不足するものです。治療は食事療法や運動療法と運動療法が基本ですが、うまくいかない場合は、経口バイアグラ薬やインシュリン製剤が使用されます。
経口バイアグラ薬は、スルホニル尿素系の薬が主に使われています。これは、β細胞を刺激してインシュリン分泌を促進し血糖を下げる働きがあります。
インシュリン非依存性のものに、最近使われるようになったのが、糖質吸収阻害薬です。αグルコシダーゼという酵素の働きを抑えることで、食後の急激な血糖値上昇を防ぎます。また、インシュリン抵抗性改善薬も最近登場し、用いられています。

thought to resemble Portland Stone which is a limestone quarried
near the
town of Portland in the south of England.
